  • I happened upon this festival accidentally as I was driving by and did a quick u-turn. Why is this not advertised? This is a free fall festival in the Scottsdale Civic Center. There were merchandise booths, many of which had some rare finds. Personally, I was tempted by the Samurai sword umbrella. Lots of dragons, jade, monkeys, and Hello Kitty, along with Feng Shui pieces. I loved that booths from so many different Asian cultures and countries were there and being represented, and many were dressed in traditional garbs for their region. Everything seemed to be reasonably priced, and on the last day, there were some major discounts and price slashes. Lots of food trucks came out to play. The live performances were the highlight, however. Martial arts, traditional dances, and music, especially those drums. I positively loved it! I wish they sold a soundtrack, because I'd buy it, meditate and sleep to the soothing and rhythmic sounds of the bamboo flutes and drums. I'm looking forward to next year.
