  • Where to begin? My husband and I purchased 2 full living room sets summer of 2016. They were delivered damaged, with some items even on back order and not being delivered for months after the fact. The reclining couch set we bought has 2 recliners that were broken when delivered. One of the couches in the other set has a panel on the side that is not even attached to the couch, showing the staples underneath. The quality of the tables has proven itself terrible, as simply placing a plate on them will scratch. One of the lamp sets we ordered came damaged. I was told to keep the damaged set for parts in case knobs or attachments wore over time and that I would receive a new set. I called them MULTIPLE times over the months, being told once that there was a note that they should have been sent out but that a ball was dropped and they never were, then that there was never a note made that I needed new lamps. I was sent $100 gift card that I have not even used as compensation for the inconvenience, and still did not receive the lamps. I called AGAIN a couple of weeks ago, and just received the lamps last week almost a YEAR after they were ordered. I have been riding Ashley Furniture to get our furniture fixed since it was delivered LAST YEAR. Due to our busy schedule, the only time we are available is Saturday afternoons. Saturday's book out WEEKS or MONTHS with their maintenance people, and they cannot request an afternoon time. They call you days prior to give you an estimated time. It is always estimated to be in the morning, so I have to cancel it and reschedule it even further out. I had one scheduled for today, and when they called days ago to let me know it would be in the morning, I canceled through the automated system. This morning I get a call saying the technician is 10 minutes away. I have now been on hold for 30 minutes to tell them that I cancelled the appointment already and am not available and nobody has picked up. I have spoken with the manager of this location and explained that all I wanted for the more than $4000 that I paid for this furniture is OPERATIONAL FURNITURE that I am not embarrassed to have people sit on, or for them to refund enough of the purchase that I would break even by selling the furniture and purchasing new sets elsewhere. His response was that I could come in and get a free accessory set. I do not want anything else from Ashley Furniture, I want what I bought to be functional! So now here I am. Spent thousands of dollars on furniture that I purchased from them because of the supposed quality. Still with broken furniture, at no fault of my own, that I have to explain to guests who try to use the recliners that someone will EVENTUALLY be out to fix them. I am not asking for much, just to get what I paid for, but apparently that's out of the question. Will never shop with them again and will advise anyone considering it to go elsewhere.
