| - I just got out of my class for First Aid CPR with Deanna.. I'm a teacher for a school with kids with autism and this is about the fifth CPR experience I've had. It was the best I've experienced by a long shot.
Primarily, it's efficient. There's nothing worse (well, that's dramatic but you get it) than realizing your card is expired and that you will soon be giving up six hours on your next Saturday to watch bizarre 80s videos of people bleeding, while the instructor spends two of the four hours telling every personal story he or she had ever encountered having to do with CPR and crisis. While that does fill time, it leads to a lot of time wasted, as well as less pertinent information able to be absorbed. People cannot sit for four hours and retain things! And these things SHOULD be bite sized so that more people can be effective at implementing. I feel like this program definitely cuts the fluff, so to speak, and emphasized what really matters.
The online portion makes it easy to do at home, which makes me be able to relax while learning rather than being hungry or mad that I'm in class on a Saturday. Another thing I liked was just Deanna. She was really reasonable with how she spoke about things, got on our level (quite literally sat on the floor with us and just talked to us like she was not above us) and had a great attitude. The training was ON TIME which is hard to come by with companies/people, and that was amazing.
In general, I'm a sucker for efficiency...it's the teacher in me maybe. I'm ALWAYS looking to work smarter not harder, and strive for that with my staff and students also. I think the blended is the way to go. I'll recommend this to Yelp and to the employees at our school!
