| - Where to start, as you walk in you notice the restaurant is located across from a car wash and next to a enterprise car rental. The decor matched the outside, it would be best described as something out of the 70's, in addition the walls are full of painting for sale. This could all be forgiven had the food and service been up to snuff. The two of us decided to get the 4 course tasting menu, one of us with the wine pairings. The sommelier came by to begin with wine from Arizona. When asked where in Arizona the winery is located, he said either South East or North West, at least he covered all his bases. The Sommelier should be properly renamed as a wine server, poured the wines very early (before we got our food), and also rested the wine bottle on the glass to pour it! The fish was paired with pinot noir, and for the $45 added on for the wine pairings all the wine equated to about a glass and a half. Now the food, everything was overly sweet.. The richness was from start to finish. We both ordered the foie gras, sweet enough by itself, however; it came on a deep fried sweet potato, balsamic reduction and honey for it to be paired with. Being adventurous, I tried the suggested combination, it was far from any foie gras I have ever tried (tasted so rich I didn't want another bite). Later in the meal we were given a gimmicky tea, when asked how much sugar was in it, we were met with a response of less than a CUP. Now for the service. Throughout the meal was crying out for something fresh, a bit a basil or apple with the cheese something to cut all of the sweetness. When I was given bread, I had to ask for butter, the plates when cleared were stacked like would in a diner. In addition, we had to ask the servers to clear our empty glasses and plates. Lastly, the owners called us the next day to ask us about our experience, upon telling them, we were HUNG UP ON! I honestly do not know how they will stay in business. Thomas Keller would be embarrassed!
