| - Love Whole Foods! Aldi, as well as Sav-A-Lot, are really budget line grocery stores. Market District replaced the older Giant Eagle at Centre Av location as competition when W F first opened in Pittsburgh.
Whole Foods Market does not carry any items with 'partially hydrogenated oils', for instance. It's upscale for quality products.
If you're watching your budget, then look
for sales, their own 365 brand, and take a little longer time to shop there. You will do fine.
Part of the Whole Foods experience is fun shopping, and the team members are friendly and sweet.
My favorite Whole Foods is 57Ave & Sunset in Miami, Fla. The Wexford store is definitely higher priced in Pittsburgh area. The most recent WF store in Pittsburgh's So.Hills, is in a little different style. One of the store leaders, Grace, is responsible for initiating the store in So.Hills. She is very knowledgeable, and is the Pittsburgh face of WF Market.
WF has become more competitive pricewise, at least, since Amazon took over ownership.
Whole Foods Market is still in a class of its own.
