| - We stayed here one night while in town visiting a friend. It's ok. It's definitely older and in need of some rehab, wallpaper peeling off the walls, repairs to a door lock (not in my room) poorly made, carpet could use replacing, elevator kind of wonky. It's the little things that add up, though. The room itself (room 208) was ok, except when we opened the door to the bathroom, an overwhelming smell of mold/mildew came out. We didn't use that bathroom at night and so didn't notice until morning. As I'm allergic to mildew and mold, I was all congested and that explained it. When I spoke to the woman at the front desk, her immediate response was "there's no mold." Well, yeah, there is. She eventually made it right but dang, could you at least give me the benefit of the doubt before you dismiss me right out of hand? I wasn't asking for or expecting anything, just wanted them to know so they could give it a good cleaning. Anyway, the hotel was simply ok. I used points so didn't pay for it. We didn't eat breakfast but it looked like your basic continental, though they did have a couple of waffle makers. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. We were only there for a little while but the neighborhood seemed good and there were a couple of restaurants in walking distance and a couple of more within a few minutes drive.
