  • I don't think I could ever possibly say enough good things about Atrium Animal Hospital. Dr. MacDonnell is a terrific, caring vet and I'm so glad to have found her. The staff at the front desk, vet techs, and nurses that I have met are all lovely as well. My doggies really like everyone here (and they're a tough crowd to please). I've been so amazed what homeopathic medicine can do. We had discovered that one of my dogs had stage 3 kidney disease. We had taken him to the specialist, who put him on prescription food and told us he had maybe 6 months to live. He started to feel a little poorly and started looking up into holistic medicine. I read about Atrium and immediately scheduled an appointment. At the first appointment, Dr. MacDonnell looked over all of his old medical records and spent over an hour with us completing his evaluation. She recommended different food, some vitamins, and an herbal treatment (later she added one more medicine). In a few days he was more energetic, feeling happier, and doing great. Two months later, his lab values are looking good and he remains happy and healthy. I'm so absolutely pleased with his prognosis. My other dog was having some uncomfortable allergy issues, so Dr. MacDonnell gave her some herbs. Her allergy issues have nearly disappeared. The initial consultation was over an hour, so the price for that was a little high. However, the regular appointment price, labs, medicine, etc. are all very reasonable (definitely cheaper than the specialist we saw). They are a fairly busy practice and it's sometimes difficult to get same day/week appointments unless you have an emergency. When you arrive, they are generally running on-time and you don't usually have to wait too long to see the doctor. The clinic is clean and well-run. I'm absolutely pleased to have found this place and I highly, highly recommend this place (especially Dr. MacDonnell).
