This place has gotten considerably worse in recent years. I keep giving this place chance after chance. The Mother's Day dinner was the last.
Don't bother making a reservation. They will tell you "no problem" when you call and ask for a table outside by the lake. When you show up 15 minutes before your reservation, they will tell you sorry, the outside is full... you'll have to wait at least 30 minutes. I was appalled. I am not sure how many people come here for the food. Most people who come here look for that experience having a relaxed meal by the lake. This was unacceptable. I was speechless when I overheard other groups complaining about the same problem. If you don't have a spot, then just be honest. This truely felt like a bait-and-switch. Not a fan.
The food was good. The bread you get at the start is great. Fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Yellowtail Crudo was a great way to go after the bread.
I got lamb chop. It was good but nothing special. I got medium rare. The meat itself is a bit mushy. Nothing really was sepcial about the food, but maybe I just wasn't in the mood.
The service was good for a busy mother's day. We waited for 50 minutes for our main courses but I expected it.
The truth is, no matter how great everything was, I have no tolerance for dishonesty. This will be the last time for me.
