| - ehh....new but not a great hotel.
During our visit the elevators were down to just one working one, and it seemed elevator maintenance took up full time residency at the hotel. So we had to wait a while to get to our floor.
The hotel has this goofy thermostat that's controlled by a central computer. They claim it's for the environment, but that's BS, if it didn't save them $$$ they wouldn't have it. Unfortunately no matter how cold it gets in the room the thermostat always reads 68. It's lowest setting is 68. There's also no off position for the fan. So you have to continue to tweak it until it shuts off. Here's a hint for the hotel...just program your display to offer standard a/c controls for guests.
The toilet and shower are in a separate room, but the bathroom sink is open. So say your wife wakes up at 6am, but you wake up at 8am, you're blinded by the CFL lights they have that brighten up the bathroom sink area. Very annoying as it shines directly on the bed.
Yet, this is expected as this is the setup for most every Hyatt Place. So let's be honest, this concept is designed for single business travelers, and never truly intended for families with that bathroom setup.
Hotel has you trapped with parking, and they charge an outrageous $18 (Aug 2011) for self parking.
Internet was free, but the signal was poor and the speed was lackluster.
