I went to Bagel Time on the suggestion of a neighbour after telling her about a recent trip to Montreal. The shop wasn't too far away so I decided to check it out on a Sunday morning. Bagel Time uses real wood fire ovens so that was a good sign - they also have several varieties of bagel flavours and a gluten-free option (which I did not try). I got a sesame bagel toasted with butter and while it was heavy on the butter, I thought it was still good. It had a touch of sweetness, the texture was soft and chewy but we thought they could have been a little more dense. It is hard to replicate the actual bagels you'd get in Montreal but these are worth a try if you're in the area.
