  • Today my dog got a huge Cactus quill stuck in his paw. Being it was Easter morning at 8am and we had just carried our dog down the mountain, we were panicked to think there would be no Vet available to help our pup. Thankfully We got in contact with Vetmed over the phone, and they took basic info on our drive over, so when we arrived they could start treatment immediately! As we pulled up, some of the staff actually came outside to help assist us carry in our 90lb boy. The staff was unbelievably friendly, caring, empathetic for our situation, and throughout the procedure they were very comforting and relieved a lot of my worries. Our dog was in and out, quill free and walking in no more than 15 minutes! I was shocked, and as grateful as you could imagine! I would drive out of my way to see these professionals again in another emergency situation.
