  • #124 I have been here 15-16 times since it opened that I bothered to check in. As much as I want to be happy (as an American) that one of my favourite stores is here, I just can't. As Charlene and a few other reviewers and even tips have pointed out, the selection is poor compared to that of the US. Yes, being here 2.5 years, I have heard all of the excuses: Smaller market so higher prices (okay, I can see this when I have had a couple of brewskis) Shipping costs (good thing Hawaii does not need things shipped to it in the middle of the ocean) Printing in two languages (places like San Francisco, Miami, Houston, and Chicago have products with 3-4 languages printed on them which is awesome) Lack of demand (then why the hell are you in Canada?) Moving forward, as was said by others, it is cleaner than the previous tenant, Zellers which reminded me of the Kmart and Murphy's Mart from the 1980's. If you are going to all the trouble to go into a "foreign" market, then bring the whole store. Don't give us a cleaner version of what we already had. We can do our own cleaning, except Zellers, apparently. Positives include the almost never busy Starbucks and it's reasonably friendly employees, mall parking, and ease of access to the 3 entrances I know about. Additionally, the last couple of trips has shown improvement in Target's customer service. Techinally, I could give then 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 stars for this if the Yelp! app had this option but I round down because rounding up makes it sound better than it is and nothing changes. Is this harsh? You bet it is but if no one spoke up, things would never change. If Target wants to succeed in Canada, get the inventory here. Otherwise, there is no reason to shop here but head to say Walmart. Will I come back? Yes, I like to have faith the people can change and grow and since corporations are people despite the fact Texas has not executed one yet, I am hoping Target is one of those people that changes and grows. Luckily, the nearest "real" Target is in Kalispell, MT a mere 4.5 hours or less south! Here's hoping the newly arriving Chinook Nordstrom has been paying attention.
