  • Spring's on its way, which can only mean one thing: AZ gardeners need to take advantage of the good weather and plant their spring/summer garden! I moved into the area recently and just started putting together my garden in my backyard. I came to A&P Nursery to get supplies - lots of soil for the new raised garden beds, some seed packets and a few plants. I've shopped here several times in the last month and am very happy with my purchases and experiences. The staff at A&P is so knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about all things plants. The advice I received was perfect for this wanna-be backyard farmer trying to get her garden off the ground (literally). They recommended specific soil that's formulated for raised garden beds and gave me a few options at different price points. Once I mentioned that I would be making a few trips to take home all the bags of soil (my little sedan can only hold so much soil in the trunk), the guy (I think his name is Johnny?) asked how far away I lived. He immediately offered to load the soil into his pickup truck, follow me home, and unload it into my backyard. Um, YES?! Are you kidding me?! I would never receive an offer like that from a manager at Lowe's or Home Depot. Top notch customer service all around. Your questions will be answered by gardening experts, but be aware that you may not get the sweet delivery offer that I did! ;) The plants for sale are hardy and healthy, and very reasonably priced. Large selection of veggies and herbs, lots of flowers, plenty of cacti and succulents, and more trees and bushes than I could count. I'm looking forward to on-going patronage of A&P Nursery as my gardening adventures continue.
