  • I would NOT recommend this office for your children's pediatric care. Dr. Deardorff has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered and always came in with a frown and rushed EVERY appointment we had. At one appointment he was in such a hurry to get out that he spilled the little sticker bin they have for children all over the floor and left telling the nurse to clean it up. He also was very concerned with my baby's insufficient weight gain (in my gut I knew he was fine, he's a healthy happy baby and nowhere near problematic) and he asked me if I was reading the directions on the back of the formula package. This was at a 6 month appointment! Pretty sure if I didn't know how to make a bottle that my baby would be very malnourished, which he was NOT. I came back for a weight check (if just to prove him wrong, which I did) and asked for a prescription for his bad Eczema( my other daughter got one with a different office because hers was so bad she would bleed) which he then said no and told me to lotion him at least 4 times a day. 4! The office then tries to charge me an office visit for the weight check saying that Dr deardorff talked "feeding solutions" with me and wrote me a prescription. Total crap. I am well aware that you have to pay for a medical service, but there was no service for my child that was done besides getting him weighed and that doesn't constitute an "office visit". When I tried telling them that didn't happen the billing department was completely condescending and I actually HEARD them talking about me amongst themselves while I was sitting with my son in a CLOSED room waiting for his check up with Dr pearlstein (yes idk why it took me so long to try a different Dr, which by the way he is great!) After hearing them I went out to see who it was and found two older women, and what do you know they saw me and stopped talking. After my son's appointment I went to the front desk to tell them about the billing department and she said, and I quote, "I'm sorry, we've had problems with them before". You guys I can't make this stuff up! It's crazy and why I wanted to write this to hopefully ward off others from thinking about trying this office. DON'T DO IT.
