Took my bike in for a total tune up (needed new tape and tires too). Head mechanic has a major attitude problem (believe his name was Mark, he is not the owner because I asked who he was because I was trying to figure out who would hire this guy). I asked a few questions about my tune and received rude brisk answers like he couldn't be bothered. I felt like leaving but didn't because I live locally and want to support the town shops.
I was promised my bike a few days later and was told a 12pm pick up would be no problem. I came in at 12pm and was told that my bike would not be ready for another hour or two (no phone call to give me a heads up). I didn't wait around because I had no faith that they would do as they promised. I picked the bike up the next day and paid my bill around $250.00. I asked if there was anything noteworthy about the tune up that I should know about (problems or future bike repair I may need to be aware of) and was given a blank stare. I left disgusted that I paid so much money to not be appreciated. My new bike tires had all the stems loose and one of the caps was missing off the tire. Pretty bush league.
I will not be going back to this bike shop. I will travel down to Scottsdale and have my bike serviced at Bicycle Ranch in Kierland which has an excellent reputation.
Note to owner get rid of your mechanic it's bad for your business.
