  • Yo, I get it. It is INSANE there in the mornings. The line is crazy and there are tons of harried people desperate for coffee and a muffin. But I had a pretty rough experience here and I have to chime in. First off, the line at 6am on a Monday was nutso. But the line was intense at every open kiosk there so it was really not an option to go faster anywhere else. We had a long day of travel ahead of us and I desperately needed something to eat so I decided to stick it out. After waiting 15 minutes in line to order an iced coffee, 2 breakfast sandwiches, and a scone I then had to wait another 15 minutes for the order itself, mostly because they got my order wrong (two sandwiches became two bagels). In retrospect, I should have just taken the bagels and ran to my gate to join my husband to board. But I thought it was a quick fix. Alas, they didn't exchange my order right away (like they should have). Instead, it got added to the back of the line so I had to wait for my sandwiches all over again. I tried to be cool because I understand how hectic it was, but after almost 10 minutes I reached my patience limit and checked, only to find they hadn't even put them into the warmer yet. Anxious about missing my flight, I raised a bit of a ruckus (I had paid for them, after all!) and finally got them to put the order in. At that point, however, they were in such a rush that they grabbed them too early so when we sat down to eat our sandwiches on the plane the centers were completely cold. Sad trombone. A few positives: a couple of the baristas I encountered (including the guy who checked on my order) were really helpful and advocated for me. That was good. Also, we were given two free drink coupons for our trouble. Also, not bad. But in the end, I wish I could have just gotten my money back and had a subpar sandwich on the plane. At least that would have been room temperature. When I first got there they had two extra bagels that hadn't been claimed. I'm going to guess that was another person who couldn't wait for their order. Might not hurt to have one dedicated person working the food, instead of having one person go back and forth between beverages and food. A lack of consistency like that, and staying on top of the orders, is what causes the problems.
