  • Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! I'm used to hiking in CA where there's a bunch of foliage and dirt trails so this was a whole new experience trekking through sand, white stones, and red boulders... I absolutely loved it! Mind you, go early enough that you aren't burning in the sun mid-way through your hike and bring plenty of water + extra so you don't have to ration like our group of noobs did but nonetheless the views were beautiful and scenic! Two speed bumps: -The trail heads are sort of unclear so our group ended up mixing trails and there was no clear end to the trail we ended up on. -The 13 mile loop makes it realllly crucial that you don't miss a turn or a sign or else you'll have to loop.. for another 13 miles. Otherwise, great first experience hiking in the Vegas heat! I'll definitely be back.
