I don't get it. I kept hearing how good this place was so we went a couple weeks ago on a sunday evening around 6 pm. They were busy the place is small, our choice was wait, patio or bar area. We decided to eat at the bar, although now I wish we had not. The Bartender who became our waiter- was rude, and took a attitude when I asked if there were any house wines or specials in the bar. He immediately gave that look like- great cheap people. We aren't -but we have a definite problem ordering without asking- Chianti's can range from $5 bucks to $8..a glass which is a joke considering you can buy a bottle of it for around 8 or 9. We went ahead and ordered but the waiter was about as pleasant as well he wasn't. Just a irritation of mine-but this is a business where people should be NICE. Always. When he brought our our bread and salads he ran into the chair at the high we were at - the one my left leg was balanced on, and it hit my knee. I think he knew he did it- as it made a noise but he just ignored the look on my face-and kept walking away. As for the dinner it was really just okay. Chicken Parm- honestly I have had many better versions elsewhere. And after telling the hostess about my concerns of the lack of attention and rudeness of the waiter... she replied I'm just the Hostess you can call the owner if you want. Perfect- One overworked underpaid hostess, and one rude waiter =2 stars, no more. Won't ever go there again ....simply not that good for the price. My husband agreed that it was just "okay" although we tipped the normal 20% -He asked me if he should adjust the tip and leave less- I told him since i had ab bump on my knee not to ask me- as i would be tempted not to leave a dang dime. And that is not normal We leave 18 to 20% almost always.
