| - Was on a road trip to the States for work, drove all night and into the morning and felt too sick to continue. Checking out hotels nearby and found this Best Western across from the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport. Received a discounted CAA rate of $98.00 for one night; included king sized bed, free WiFi, free parking and complimentary breakfast. Cleanliness is everything for me and this hotel definitely had it. Was concerned of the noise level since this is across from the airport, but I passed out and didn't even notice planes taking off in the air nearby. I was dead tired anyway.
Couldn't find anything nearby in terms of food so I went to sleep without dinner, room service prices seemed extremely overpriced for me. Planned on saving room for the free breakfast and I must say I was very disappointed. Expected much more in terms of portion size as half my plate was empty.
Ordered two eggs, whole wheat toast with potatoes and tea. Very small portion of eggs to call it two and the potatoes were bland. Also included a minuscule slice of orange and pineapple on the side of the plate. Some items required diners to add $5 for like omelettes, crepes, etc. Doesn't sit well with me being nickle and dimed since I've already downed $100 for the room the night before. IKEA's breakfast is $1 and their portions are actually more than this hotel breakfast, frankly I find that slightly ridiculous and embarrassing or the hotel.
Lastly, my waitress wasn't very welcoming when I was seated, before I even ordered she mentioned that tips are not included. I've dined before in restaurants, you have to earn the tip for me to give it. If I'm in the Dorval area in the future, I'll be looking for a different hotel.
