  • For starters: this place is massive. Compared to the other GoodLife locations I've frequented this one is the granddaddy. It also appears there are renovations underway - don't know if it'll add more square footage but what they have now works just fine. I don't usually frequent co-ed gyms (and my last visit reminded me why...more on that later) but I was too tired to trek out to my usual location at Dufferin and Steeles so I stopped here. The friendly associate at the front desk was very busy so I didn't ask for a tour, just guidance to the women's change rooms. It's a journey down a pathway, down a short flight of stairs, up a short flight of stairs and behind you. You'll get the hang of it once you visit. The women's changeroom is massive. They have half and full-length lockers. The latter are usually in use when I visit after work. The half-length lockers are still spacious. Washrooms and sink/blow-dry area - all clean with the exception of all the hair by the blow-dry bar. It gets stuck to your shoes. Gross. Cardio equipment - elliptical, bikes and treadmills as you enter on the right. Weight machines, personal training machines and racks on the left with a large area with mats. Down the stairs, up the stairs...a classroom, the pool, treadmills (I like these as they are secluded) and more racks and a few weight machines. The only downside: some of the men get territorial about machines. One wasn't in use and I started adjusting the weights when a man told me "I'm using it." He was two machines down. I told him he was NOT using it and he quickly corrected himself, saying "well, I WILL be using it, so use it if you want." His name wasn't on the machine so I don't understand the need to hog it. This is why I prefer women's-only locations. No hogging and no unpleasant encounters. I haven't been back since.
