UPDATE 6-24-13: An computer generated email from corporate wants 21 days to respond. InterContinental Hotels Cleveland asked for my information to try to resolve this, then they say they will call me if they need anything. Unreal!
UPDATE 7-5-13: A representative from the InterContinental in Cleveland called me today. She was apologetic that it took so long and the person responsible for handling complaints is on vacation. She stated the building is older and does have HVAC issues. I explained the situation again and she stated she would call over to the Guesthouse to see how this can be resolved and would call me back. I stressed that I wanted a full refund. We wanted to cool off after the game and relax and we didnt (it was 90F at the first pitch, 79F at the last pitch). I was contacted later that day and issued a full refund, a week and 5 days later. This should have been issued on June 23rd at check out but at least its done.
UPDATE 7-9-13: Since we booked the hotel through HotelGuides.com, and upon the submission of my review with them, they have stated, "Your comments have been posted to this hotel's listing; however, we've also decided to turn off this hotel's listing for a minimum of three years in hopes that they'll make some improvements." Well, since they are suspended for 3 years, nobody will see my review except for on here. I understand that suspending them essentially pulls HotelGuides endorsement but I think the consumer should read and decide..
