| - The Blumenthal is located in one of my favorite neighborhood in the city, the Quartier des Spectacles (entertainment district). It is located in the building of the Maison des festivals, and above all, it is a not-for-profit establishment since all revenues go to finance the magnificent shows and free activities offered ... So let's say that for the concept alone, they already had me at 50%.
The interior design is refined and modern, their alcohol menu is extensive but their menu is short (as expected from a brasserie), I went during the Jazz Festival so the restaurant was packed, but then the advantage of being alone allowed me to have a nice little spot at the bar, my favorite place in the restaurant anyway!
I ordered as a starter, a gazpacho, which was excellent! Then, as a main course, I ordered a beef tartare which was not the best I ever had but not the worst either. This time I did not order drinks as I was coming back from a 5-7, but I will have to go back and try the rest of their menu.
