My boyfriend and I stayed here when we were in town for spring training. The hotel was beautiful and the service great. The turndown service each night was a nice little surprise to come back to each night.
3 days into our 5 day stay my boyfriends phone got stolen while we were down at the pool. I put his phone on the lounge chair under a towel and hopped in the pool. We were in the pool for several hours enjoying the sunshine and when we got back to our stuff his phone was gone. My purse with my phone and both our wallets was still there. I spoke to the staff around the pool, touched base with the pool manager. He had some staff go and look in with the towels, but the towel was still on the chair where we had been. I gave him my cell phone number. I proceeded to go to to the front desk and fill out an incident report as well as contact security and gave them all the information as well as our room number. Not a sole followed up.
We were able to watch his phone leave the property later that evening on the "find my phone" app. We never heard from ANY of the MANY people that I reported this incident to. I understand I am leaving my belongings and walking away at my own risk when at the pool. But this is a very nice and expensive hotel and I was pretty disappointed in the service and that they did nothing to help us out. He had to buy a new phone when we got back home. The cost of buying a new iPhone when you don't have a upgrade, well, thats more than this hotel was worth.
