| - I made my reservation online with no problems. Since I was driving into town, I called to let them know I would be arriving late evening. Because from experience, you get a lousy room if you arrive really late and wanted to give them a heads up. Well, that didn't help this time. I got the room with a view of the roof over the front entrance to the property. If you're claustrophobic, stay away from room 213! Although the staff at the front desk were always friendly, I couldn't get moved into a nicer room during my four night stay.
This was the first time I stayed at this property. It's located on a main road, between a shopping center with Lowe's right next door and an empty field. Even though they have a pool, it's rather small and right up against the parking lot without any plants. A set of train tracks are located across the street and blow their horn as they pass, my room was on the front of the building and could hear the horn every night.
I wasn't sure why the bathroom door wouldn't stay open, but when I mentioned it when I checked out, they said they would have the maintenance person check it out. The desk chair, which I used daily to do some work, was too short for the desk and nearly fell over when I sat back on it!
A free breakfast is included with your stay. It's the usual menu items, cereal, muffins, some hot items, etc. Coffee, juice and milk. The gal who runs the breakfast room was very nice and helpful to guests.
The room was clean. View was lousy. Location didn't work for me. Not a relaxing stay. I won't be staying here again. I too thought this property was in a different location.
