| - This market has a lot to offer, but I often get the feeling that it is a bit over priced. The majority of the locals that shop here seem like the least likely person to stop at a u-pick for fresh saskatoonberries or strawberries, if you get my drift. so, it's like a 'farmer's market', but not.
All of the stalls are very coiffed and slick, there's nothing earthy or grassroots about this farmer's market, which is a shame, as if this place looks so great you know that you're helping to pay for it through the higher prices produce that is offered each Friday through Sunday.
There's lots of produce, organic meat & dairy, baking, gift items, and usually some entertainment. I do love the variety of food booths that are offered, thought, makes for a nice selection for a late lunch with a few friends.
Beware, this place can get frantically crazy about mid-day. My advice - go early or go late, do a walkabout and compare prices before you buy anything and take some cloth bags for your purchases.
