  • So, I was debating on how I was going to word this if I was even going to post a review in the first place so here we go. I came into Vape Scottsdale and I was impressed. I was greeted by a gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable and diligent in the services he provided. The young lady working with him was also extremely thorough and provided insight into some flavors I may like and I was happily impressed. I made a purchase of a Pulse squonk box and a bottle of e-liquid and decided I would stay and strike up a conversation and was very happy to have potentially found a shop I would be able to visit on a regular basis as its right near my office. Then something occurred that made me second guess that decision. A lady walked in who either works there or is a manager for Vape Scottsdale who came in and stated something to a co-worker who wasn't able to hear and the co-worker mentioned she was deaf, not literally but effectively to which the lady who came in stated "Being deaf isn't an excuse. Learn sign language." Well let me inform you of something; I am deaf. I am 100% deaf in my right ear and 60% deaf in my left ear and the lady saying that is extremely insensitive. Her statement that people who are deaf are not only ignorant but just plain idiotic. How many people who can hear know sign language? Apparently, she does which does not negate the fact that you do not know what some of your customers endure just to receive a product or service throughout their day. I am not trying to get someone fired, I am just trying to have someone educated. Your customers are everything to you and making offhand insensitive comments can lead to losing your entire customer base therefor losing your employment. While the comment was not directed at me, it was made in my presence and I will, unfortunately, be considering other shops because I can tell you right now, if I walk into that shop and she is working, I will take my $100 and go to one of the other hundred shops in the valley until the other location is opened.
