  • RUN, DON'T WALK away from this place! When we arrived at the dealership, there was absolutely no place to park. It was really off-putting. Clearly, the vehicles didn't all belong to customers, because there was only one other couple in the showroom when we got there, so I don't know if they fill the parking lot in an attempt to make the place look sooo busy that you NEED to buy a vehicle before someone swoops in and buys it from under you, or what, but that didn't fly. We get there, and we let them know we wanted to see a CPO vehicle we had seen online, so the salesman went to get the car. Twenty minutes later. Seriously. It took so long that we thought they had sold the vehicle already and the guy just didn't know. I actually made the comment that my BF should check the transmission for sawdust. He brings the vehicle up front and we both kinda like it. It's a smaller SUV, but that's all I need. I have my hot, little red car, and I could use this to beat into the ground commuting to my BF's house, or driving up north for day hikes and camping trips (it was compact, but still large enough to hold all my gear). I give the salesman my driver's license and we take it for a test drive. The vehicle is dirty but I'm told that if I buy it, they will fully detail it for me. The salesman was nice enough, despite not knowing that the vehicle was a CPO (my boyfriend had to remind him), or that it was FWD, not AWD (I let him know that). We get back to the dealership and really take a look at it and the vehicle had dents and dings; there were some sizable chips and gouges. My boyfriend said that we could ask them if they would repair those if we decided to purchase the vehicle, so we went inside to talk numbers. So, the salesman leads us to a cubicle with cheap, white, DIRTY picnic-like chairs and some other guy comes along. -_- I tell him the same thing I told the salesman: I JUST bought an Audi last week, now I'm looking for something cheap that I can use so I don't abuse my new car. I already have pre-approval for a car loan through my bank and if the price is right, I will buy the vehicle today. Online, the vehicle was advertised as a CPO for about $18,500. Honestly, I didn't want to pay that much for another car, but I thought we could negotiate a better price. I DEFINITELY didn't want to pay that price after I discovered that the car had dings and chips and gouges, and the front passenger seat wasn't even power. When they presented me the total on the car, it was well over $22K. Um, say WHAT!? So, my BF asks for the spec sheet, which the dude refused to provide, but shows us some paper that has the price, TTL, and almost $1,200.00 in ADDITIONAL COSTS! These "additional" items were about $500.00 for the CPO and nearly $700.00 for lifetime tint warranty. Are you freaking kidding me?! So, my BF is asking the guy how they can charge $500 for the car to be a CPO when it's already ADVERTISED as a CPO and nowhere on the advertisement did we see where it said "CPO for additional price." Also, the initial salesman said something about how they "OFFER a lifetime tint warranty," so my BF said, "Well, take that off because we don't want it," and the guy said he couldn't do that. He's, like, "I'd rather take off the $500 for the CPO." Well, that's nice, I'd rather walk out of here right now. So, he tells us that because of *insert BS reason here* they can't take off the $700 for the tint warranty, because then people would leave "bad reviews." So, the tint thing really isn't an "offer," so much as a coercion? Yeah, that went over really well. The guy tells us that he'll take off the $500 for the CPO, and my BF is, like, "We CAME here BECAUSE we WANT a CPO!" He's, like, "It'll still be a CPO." Ookay. Sure it will. *wink wink* Then, he says that he's not going to "lose this deal over $698, especially at the end of the month." He is willing to take off all of the "additional" garbage that they slimily tacked on to begin with, bringing the price down to the original figure, thus not negotiating the original asking price at all. The guy asked me how much I wanted to spend, and I told him that $16,000 was a number I would be comfortable with. Instead of seeing how he could bring down the price of the vehicle I test drove, he goes through and tries to convince me to buy other vehicles! Finally, I told him, "Look, I have a brand new Audi and I have credit, I'm not one of those people who is desperate for a car, so I can wait for good deal." With that, we got up and walked out. Afterward, my BF and I read the Yelp reviews. I wish we would have done so beforehand; I told him that I really think we "dodged a bullet." This place is so shady and so slimy that, now, I don't know if I would trust even buying a CPO vehicle from them, even if the price was reasonable AND my attorney was involved. Speaking of attorneys, my guess is that this place is probably on their radar: STAY AWAY!
