| - We're frequent travelers (especially my husband, who is a Hampton Gold member), and I believe this was the most cramped room we have ever stayed in. It had two queen beds crammed into what I am positive was intended to be a single. There was barely any space to open a suitcase or get dressed. The sink was in a separate area around the corner from the toilet/shower room, so we had to slink in between one bed and around the corner to wash our hands. When the fan in the bathroom was turned on, the gfi breaker tripped on on the hair dryer/coffee pot plug. The other bed was wedged against the air conditioner, so thank heavens we stayed in winter! The breakfast was below standard. We were traveling with our eight-year old niece and nephew, and the Hampton we had stayed in the night before (Albuquerque) was so far superior: it was what we are accustomed to when staying at a Hampton, so we were pretty disappointed with Tempe. Other reviewers mentioned the doors opening to the outside (not typical for Hampton) and the noise. In conclusion: yes, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, so if that is the only thing that matters, this place would fit your criteria. Plus, it has a nice pool area. But if you are expecting a Hampton Inn, book somewhere else.
