I had lunch here with my buddies on Saturday afternoon and the service from our server was great. We had ordered the clams for an appetizer it took a little bit to get to the table the sauce was great and clams were good. One of my friends ordered the Raging Bull, my other friend ordered the tour of rigatony's and I got the veal picatta because I love good veal and usually get it at other italian restaurants. The salad starter and bread that come out before our meals were good and we were hungry and excited for our main entrees. As our meal came out, everything looked great so we started eating and the first couple bites of my dish were good the pasta wasn't overcooked the sauce was sweet and complemented the veal picatta. After the first couple bites, my third bite was a really chewy piece of meat and didn't taste right and that is when I spit it out and looked at it in my dish and saw that it was raw! I couldn't believe it so I showed my friends and they both agreed we should tell the server it was raw. So we called her over and the first thing she said was "Oh my!" I apologize can I get you something else so I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs thinking after eating that I didn't want to run the risk again so I'll get something easy that should be an issue. The manager on duty came by and asked me about it and she said have you had our veal before almost as if I had never eaten veal before. So I replied I've eaten veal numerous occasions and have not had it here before so she said well a lot of customers love our veal. I said that may be true and I liked the first couple bites until I got into the center and it was raw. So she said she notified the chef and he knew about it. She asked if I would give them another chance to get me the same thing and I said I had already ordered the spaghetti with meatballs since I didn't want to run the risk of getting raw veal again. After that the server approached the table and I wanted to confirm I wasn't being overly picky and the server said "Oh yeah it was raw and I apologize I think it was because they usually pound the meat to make it thinner and the middle part was thick and that's why it wasn't cooked thoroughly. So I said no problem thank you for getting me the spaghetti and meatballs. We asked for our check shortly after that and that is when I noticed that they didn't charge me for the veal but they charged me for the spaghetti and meatballs. Now I'm not one that looks for free meals ever but if there was ever a chance for this place to make it up to me, it would have been on a simple spaghetti and meatballs dish especially when the manager challenged my taste in how the veal dish was cooked. I have to admit I was a little offended. I eat out all the time and I've never ever had a manager say something like that to me. My friends couldn't believe it and said that I could have gotten sick and which I agreed so we paid our check and left. I've been here numerous times and never had any issues in fact I like the place and tell my friends to go here all the time but after this experience I will NOT be coming back. I couldn't believe the nerve of this manager. I think the server even understood because as we were leaving she said I think the manager wanted to talk to you. After having her speak to me like that I did not want to hear from her again.
