I traveled there alone with my son so all I wanted was the good location in the middle of the Strip. I was a little afraid of the aging Casino and the demographics.
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The newly added wheel (the Linq) really has given a facelift to the hotel. There is a pedestrian street on the side of the hotel which leads to the Linq with great restaurants, bars etc...
The check in line was too long. There were not enough staff to accommodate the arrivals. I was charged $20 for an early check in. Unheard of before....
The room was great with an awesome view of the Linq which fascinated my baby, with the colors changing, blinking etc...
The star I remove is for the flooring. There is no soundproofing whatsoever and if the person on top of you drops a pin, I promise you you will hear it. That is such bad design!!! Also the noisy headboards are not necessary.
The housekeeping stuff has been amazing with the baby very helpful, and kind.
There is a food court which allows you to order take out which was great in my case. The pool was closed but we went to the Paris pool which is heated all year long (you just have to present your key)
Overall a great experience.
