I personally like the Fairmont Hotels and so chose to stay here when I went to Toronto to attend a wedding. The bridal party had a deal over at the Thompson Hotel but I wanted the Fairmont Gold experience. It did not disappoint.
Even with the Union Station construction going on out front, the place was hopping. Guess it helped that it was Thanksgiving long weekend.
Only small issue was in the Gold level lounge where they have free breakfast and canapés at night; it was too busy as some people chose to treat it as their own personal living room and camp out at tables while others were clearly waiting. Not sure what the staff could have done as its the kind of place where NO is not an option.
