| - I wouldn't stay, eat or play here again. You'd be better staying on in one of the other budget hotels in the area or downtown.
First of all, I think the girl on the reception was called Carissa or something. She was rude, unhelpful and incompetent. I asked to speak to a manager, surprisingly she said she was the manager. I was shocked. Literally wouldn't help with anything. I gave up, left, came back and spoke to H. Everything was resolved within minutes.
Cockroaches in my room. At least 10 of them over the period I stayed, along with a few other insects. The bathroom had mould, as did the AC unit, which was loud. The adjoining room had the TV left on, at FULL volume for days on end. The staff were unwilling to do anything about it.
The food at this place is terrible compared to hooters usual standard. The clam chowder tasted horrible, the dip thing tasted of cleaner, the fries were cold and not properly cooked. Even the wings were no where near as good as they are at all the other hooters I've ate at.
The Casino at this place sucked too. All the table minimums were too high, while all the tables were empty or closed. Actual strip casinos had tables with lower table limits, those casinos all had full tables. A slot machine I was playing was so faded out that I thought I had won, nothing happened, I called for someone who worked there and they took about half an hour to figure out that the thing on the slot was yellow but had faded out to white. Another machine jumped from $1 to $10 bet while I was playing. I let a staff member know, he accused me of trying to steal from the casino even though I had said like 'just so you know I think this changed...'
