  • This place is WAY bigger than I thought it would be. Still, the $18 regular price seems a little steep. Definately get a map because the winding paths make it easy to miss areas. We had a great time and spent 4 hours in fantabulous weather walking around the gardens. The gift shop has some very unique items. I recommend taking the official tour - we got a lot of great info during the tour that we would have never known before. Try to get to the outdoor cafe area before crowds get there around mealtime in order to see the wildlife that lives in the hillside. Quail, jackrabbits, lots of other birds too. The staff tells us that after dark is also a great time to see some animals.
