  • I like what Pomelo's aspires to be. The atmosphere and ambience are very special, like nothing else in this area. Service is top notch. The food consists of quality ingredients but could be more flavorful. Everything we tried was bland - French dip, blakt chicken sandwich, spinach dip, calamari/shrimp, strawberry shortcake and chocolate mousse cake. Next time we'll try salad and pizza. (Although there are a LOT of pizza restaurants around here these days so it needs to be very good to compete.) The bar and lounge area is so inviting and they have one of the nicest patio seating areas around. I hope they dial in the menu and condiment/seasoning problem; if they do they'll be a top-tier north central PHX dining spot.
