  • After you park you are going to want to leave pocket knives and stuff in the car. After 9/11 they added a security center you pass through before you enter the visitor center. They encourage photo taking and I think I saw someone with a video camera too. No pets. The best time to go is when there is a lot of high sun - the dam looks great when none of it is in shadow. Truly an inspiring experience. The tour really enhances the Dam visit, I really recommend it. All ages welcome. They have a place for food, but I didn't get anything. We spent a couple hours there, lots to do. Truly an inspiring experience.
