  • Searsucker? That is quite a different name though don't be fooled by it. This restaurant that labels itself "The New American Classic" has quite the bit of flavor packed into it. The appetizers, entree, and desert was a delicious and full-filling meal. Let's now eat our way into "The New American Classic" Searsucker. This fabulous restaurant is located in Caesars Palace in the casino section. The first appetizer I sunk my teeth into were the lollipop wings ($18.00) these were some of the best wings I have ever had. The lollipop style they were served as were brand new to me however. Genius! I exclaimed they were perfect; the meat all on one end was a masterful idea for dipping. They were smothered in buffalo sauce; they were spicy but not enough to scare me away. They were served along with a blue cheese fondue that was creamy and went great with the lollipops of a carnivores dream. Next I had something very new to me and straight from the sea. These were raw oysters ($3/each) they were served in a bucket of ice and served along with a pomegranate topping. They smelled very fresh and fishy almost as if they just netted and prepared them right then and there. From a bite they have no flavor but with the pomegranate topping gave it a sweet flavor and made them easier to go down the pallet. Then I went on to my favorite course the entree I had beer braised short ribs ($35.00). They were served along fried and crispy onions ring all on top of mash potatoes smothered in gravy. The ribs were tender and I could cut they with just the edge of my fork. The mashed potatoes were very light and fluffy and went with the meatiness of the ribs. Onion rings I love to death however the ones I have were a bit too greasy for my taste and I wish they were a bit crispier on the fry. Last but truly not least was the desert crafted in my dreams three ice cream sandwiches ($18.00). Two were served vanilla and one...CHOCOLATE!!!! (those who get that sponge-bob reference you are amazing) there was a side of whip cream, Nutella, and mocha cream. The cookies on the sandwiches had that great homemade taste and the ice cream tasted freshly made. The chocolate sandwich had these wonderful chocolate almost coco puffs placed around it. The Nutella had a great chocolate punch and the whip cream was great. The mocha cream however was a bit strong but great on the sandwiches. Ah! America the home of the brave and free with some of the best food you could taste. Searsucker is only a bite of what you can have here and is a great first stop. Warm and filling the food is just like its decor a truly great foodie stop. Let's see where my taste buds take me next!
