In the past when we have eaten at the True Food Kitchen Phoenix location we have not noticed the negligence that we experienced this time at the Scottsdale Quarter True Food Kitchen. Many dissatisfactions at this Thursday night dinner hour. It started out poor from the start. We asked how long the wait would be & the young, chaotic staff said 15 - 20 minutes - nope, it was a 45 minute wait - quite an inaccurate estimate. Once they texted us to tell us the table was ready, we waited another 5 minutes while the confused staff decided where we were going. Felt very disorganized - not cohesive. Maybe it was that the staff were all so young, but it seemed very chaotic at every interaction, like when we ordered the soup (it was a squash soup that night) and I had communicated I had special needs that night but received a spicy squash soup, which two of us returned not expecting this. Any question we asked, was answered with somewhat of an "attitude of too much trouble" - the best way I can describe the server. It seemed like the staff didn't have proper training on how to interact with customers. Restaurant staff need to know how to cope with the busyness of a restaurant and not be acting hurried and rushed. Not welcoming. The best thing at our table turned out to be the mushroom pizza, ordered GF. But, when we got the bill there was not an extra $2.50 charge for the GF so we assumed that they had gotten that part of the order wrong too. If it had been someone who had severe allergies to gluten there could have been serious consequences. The best part of the evening was when we asked a bus boy where the bathroom was (outside and around a corner) and he took the time to walk us out the door and point us in the right direction. Have no desire to support or frequent this location.
