  • Sales - Omar was the salesman that we worked with, and he was a really likeable guy. When it came time to crunch numbers and get serious though, his sales manager, William, got involved and everything started to fall apart. We had done a sufficient amount of research before we went to the dealership, so we knew the deal we wanted based on the price advertised on their website. William was going to cheat, lie, and absolutely disrespect us to the point that we wanted to walk away many times. The way he spoke to us was so disgustingly condescending and arrogant that I actually had to leave the building to calm down a few times. Finance - After the gentleman in finance was already prefaced by our dealer and the manager that we will not be adding anything else on, he made sure to reiterate to us that he understood this and would quickly go through his spiel, as that is part of his job. Well, as soon as we get to the extended warranty and all of the other unnecessary add-ons, he really amps up his sales pitch. I kept trying to ask him a question in regards to the loan rate I was seeing, but he completely ignored me and tried to tell me that he could make the monthly payments decrease by adding the extended warranty. He must have thought I was stupid, because he clearly was extending our term from 60 months to 72 months, which is something we had again already addressed earlier and said we would NOT be doing. I finally had to stop him and say NOTHING else will be added on to this purchase and we need to get back to discussing the rate. As it turns out, sales had "never changed the rate in the system" to reflect our agreed upon loan rate of 2.9%. Instead, they had actually upped it in the system to 5.8%!! To sum things up, I will never buy from Tempe Kia again or refer anyone I know. It was an overly stressful and unpleasant experience for the most part, although we did finally walk away with the deal we wanted. Omar, the salesman, was the only good part of the experience because he had such a great attitude throughout the entire process. We genuinely felt like he wanted everyone to walk away happy, which I greatly appreciate. William on the other hand, should have his job title re-evaluated.
