The vibe is awesome! Live local Hawaiian music! Attentive staff.
We ate here on a Friday night around 6pm and luckily there was no wait.
We ordered the Hawaiian Plate (Friday special - Lau Lau or Kalua Pig, rice, lomi salmon, and haupia $11). And the Furikake chicken ($9).
The lau lau didn't have any flavor. Some salt fixed that problem. The mac salad wasn't that good. The macaroni seemed to be a bit more on the aldente side rather than the softer side. The Furikake chicken was Good! Very tasty. It's fried and then tossed in their special glaze sauce.
I wouldn't cross this place off my list just yet. I wanna go back and give it another try.
