We recently stayed for three nights. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We had a nice view of Lake Erie. The hotel decor was really cool; total throw back to days gone by. We had room service one morning and it was delicious. A real treat all around.
Based on the room and the hotel alone - we lived it!
I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the parking. We pulled in and were greeted by an empty guard shack and cones blocking the two entries to the garage. We awkwardly tried backing out but then finally someone came running out and asked us if we were staying there. After looking up our name they took away a cone (not in the lane we were in so then we had to back up make our way into the other lane) and then we were finally allowed to park. Exiting was even more interesting. There are two card swipe machines and no directions. So we had to wait for the attendant to finish her phone call before we could exit. And then she mumbled "swipe the first one". We asked, "the first closest to you or closest to us?" She ignored us. After trying both we were finally able to leave. Even more concerning was, given how hard it was for us to gain access to the garage, each morning we found business cards on our car windshield. They were for an escort service. Who was roaming around our car (keep in mind we paid for parking)?
Besides the parking, we did have a great stay. But man that really bugged us.
