  • I wish I could give them less stars!!! I had seen a sign outside their store advertising $15.00 shellac. When I called to inquire about this offer, they explained that it was just the shellac colour and not a full manicure (which is reasonable). I had just given myself a manicure the week before so my nails and cuticles were in good shape and I opted for just the polish. The problem is, when I showed up for my appointment, the couple who was working there was VERY annoyed I was only doing a colour change. They said they couldn't do a good job unless they gave me a full manicure. They gave me the colour wheel and I selected a dark purple (a dupe for OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark) and the woman was very critical of my colour choice ("WHY DON'T YOU WANT A NEW FALL COLOUR?"). They filed and trimmed my nails even though this should not have been included in what I was paying for. They man doing the manicure cut my nails so short, my fingers hurt for a few days afterwards. He and his wife proceeded to call me 'baby hands' for the rest of my appointment because of how small HE cut my nails. As he was applying the shellac polish, it became clear it was too old and dry to actually do any good. He continued to add coat after coat to make it thick enough. 4 coats later, I discover they used the wrong colour and I ended up with much lighter coloured nails than I asked for. Because of all the coats, my nails were thick and bumpy. Upon further examination, the man had painted only the top 3/4 of my nails (making them look even shorter) because he was annoyed I wasn't paying for the full manicure which included cuticle trimming. He also got top and base coat all over my fingers. When he was finished, he asked several times "I did a great job right?" which made me too uncomfortable to tell him he definitely did not. The man and his wife stood over me as I paid with debit to see how much I was tipping. I left the salon extremely unhappy, wishing I had refused to pay. The shellac peeled off within 2-3 days because of how thick it was. Now I understand why they only charged $15.00!!!
