| - I have an admission to make - I'm a bit of a library nerd. OK, I feel better that I got that out of the way. Now on to the review.
There are many reasons to love the Verona Public Library, which has become my favorite Madison-area library:
* The library is nestled into a corner of Badger Prairie Park. In the center of the library, there is a large atrium, flooding the library with natural light and providing a panoramic view of the neighboring park. I also am a fan of the library's Prairie Style design.
* The facility is always well staffed (no lines!) and all the employees I've interacted with are all friendly and knowledgeable. If you are feeling misanthropic and / or independent, there are a number of self-checkout kiosks.
* It contains an inventory of over 90,000 books and videos, so I often can find what I need without having to order an item through the South Central Library System.
* There are computer kiosks peppered in the stacks, making it easy to locate whatever you are looking for.
* With a library card, you can use the Internet and Microsoft Office software accessible computer lab for free. Alternatively, if you have your own laptop, you access the building's free wi-fi. Plenty of places to plug in as well.
* There are five study rooms if you need a quiet space to concentrate. There also is a large reading room with a fireplace and a bunch of comfy chairs and a killer view of Badger Prairie County Park.
* The facility has two large meetings rooms for hosting larger events.
* There is always plenty of parking and it is easy to get in and out of the parking lot.
So five stars to you, Verona Library! I plan to check out books from you for many years to come.
