  • I am a former tenant who has had great difficulty in obtaining my security deposit refund. I leave phone messages that are never returned and email messages that are never answered. We rented for 4 years and were such good tenants that the owner begged us to stay. Upon leaving (1 month later) we received a letter stating that 75% of our deposit would be kept to replace a citrus tree that died, remove "wild "palm trees that grew on the property, and broken refrigerator shelves that were broken when we moved in. We are trying to dispute this unfair deal, but can't get anybody to respond!
