  • I am a proud sheeple (sheeperson? sheep?) I've heard all the hype surrounding the Halal Guys and saw the long lineup so OF COURSE I had to check it out. I split the combo platter with my boyfriend. Total cost was $14, which, to be honest is kinda expen$ive. Anyway, first impressions: that is the most photogenic shawarma plate I have ever seen. Ever. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture since I was too hungry (classic first world problem), but go take a look at the pictures other Yelpers have posted and you will understand. The secret is in the sauce. The food gets drenched in this white sauce and it is the perfect addition. You can also add spicy sauce. They'll only put a very small line and at first you'll be confused because that seems like nothing but TRUST ME (and the other reviewers) that's more than enough. The meat felt very light (although, let's be honest, it's probably like a bajillion calories), so I guess that's a good thing. Overall, a decent meal and a decent experience. I think some of the low reviews it's been getting are a little unfair. Will I ever come back? It's kind of out of the way, so probably not. But! If I happen to be in the area and am willing to shell out the money, I'll give it another try.
