| - I need to win the lottery so that I may sit on my ass, watch soaps and eat macarons all day. And I'd get these macarons from Patisserie 27!
This small bakery/coffee shop has been in my area for a while now. We picked up a few tiny cakes and baked goods from there when it first opened but it wasn't anything that wowed me. We decided to give them a second chance and grab some macarons for a dessert at a dinner party.
When we arrived, they only had 4 flavours on display - Yuzu lemon, coffee, pear liqueur and raspberry. But when I enquired about more flavours, a tray from the back produced a few more including chocolate, caramel, reg. lemon, and strawberry.
I got a dozen macarons ($1.50 each) of 3 flavours - chocolate, caramel and lemon. We've been kinda obsessed with macarons lately after trying the salted caramel ones from Bobbette and Belle.
Of the three flavours we got, the caramel was our favourite - one bite revealed a delicious caramel centre! The lemon macaron was tart with a sweet creamy centre and the chocolate was decent as well.
I live dangerously close to Patisserie 27 which means I don't have far to travel to grab sweet, sweet macarons before watching my stories on TV.
