  • I'm a steak lover through and through. Knowing this, my boyfriend took me to Golden Steer for some birthday steak, not cake. This place ROCKED! It's authentic old-school Vegas. I have no doubt that members of the mob and the 50's-era Brat Pack frequented this place back in the day. But that's not even the half of it. The food is outstanding. The service was wonderful. And the ambiance and decor takes you back in time. I had surf & turf and HO-LY CRAP! My steak was perfection. I almost ignored the lobster because the steak was THAT good. The "ambassador of tenderness", as they call their filet, was beyond tender. I could have cut it with a plastic butterknife. It was one of the best steaks I've had. Needless to say, birthday dinner was an absolute success at Golden Steer. I loved it.
