UPDATE: I am updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars, as the Home Depot manager did call us to try and resolve this issue. He called the company that they contract for their flooring, and two new guys showed up today to do the job that the guys from yesterday refused to do.
However, there was still a delay and Home Depot didn't fulfill their 72 hour guarantee.

My husband and I had been coming here previously for all our home improvement project needs. While we previously had great experiences with the staff and service, our most recent experience was extremely awful.
We needed to get our carpets replaced and decided to go through Home Depot. While they promised great services and prices, they didn't deliver.
We paid $1340.40 that was supposed to cover hauling away our old carpet and installing the new one.
We had our carpet install scheduled for today. We did everything we were asked to do beforehand - clear out all the rooms and remove electronics. My husband even went through the trouble of cutting out stained portions of the old carpet, even though it wasn't necessary - that's what we were paying Home Depot to do.
Two workers came and complained they didn't like the way the carpet smelled, and told us they wouldn't do the job and left. Mind you, that's why we were getting new carpets - to replace the old ones. But they refused to do their job.
We called Home Depot but they didn't want to issue a full refund. We paid for a service and didn't receive it, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to refund us in full. Now I have to work with my credit card company.
All in all, this has been a frustrating experience and in the future we will be taking our business elsewhere.
