  • Here is another "Vegas Baby" Review Local's where are the reviews? Are you kidding me??? HELLO...THERE IS SKIING 30 MINUTES OUTSIDE OF LAS VEGAS. That on it's own is worth 5 stars. Anything less is a crime. This is a true BUCKET LIST EXPERIENCE.! Don't expect Vail, Aspen or Mammoth but expect to have a great time at one of the all time hidden jewels in the skiing industry. For The Out of Towners this little ski area is a perfect day getaway from the Strip. If you don't have gear they can provide the hardware (Ski's and Boots). You can stop by Dicks Sporting Goods and grab some cheap bibs, hat and gloves. Go during the week and you will have a heavenly experience. For you locals out there; get your butts up there and explore this amazing little ski area parked in your backyard; take some pictures and Yelp! If you are a black diamond skier like myself then hit Slot Alley after a good dump(snow storm). Also, there are tons of secret spots in the back-country (see my attached picture of me cliff jumping) that are world class tree runs. (warning: Please always ski with a partner or let someone know that you are skiing off trail) If you are just beginning your ski career then you need to stop by the legend ski instructor Marcel Barel's ski school for a lesson. I believe his beautiful daughter Gabrielle is running the school now. I became a world class skier under Marcl's personal instruction. As for the snowboards just have fun and enjoy the little terrain park. Once again this is a little hidden jewel so don't expect X Games quality rails and jumps. At the very least you can brag to your buddies that you skied in "Las Vegas Baby" This a true 'Vegas Baby" Experience!
