| - So this was the first escape room we ever did, and I have to say it sets the bar pretty high. I am a huge fan of the idea of escape rooms ever since I found out they were a thing, although as of writing this, I have only done one other. But I will compare them all to this from now on, since I enjoyed it so much. Without giving away any spoilers, we did the Biohazard with only 3 people. I think you can have 8, and I can't even imagine the disaster it would cause having that many people together. Not because of the escape room itself, but just too many thoughts and talking!!! So I have to say we did embarrasingly bad on the "first" part; there were clues right in front of us we didn't see!! So when we thought we were done, and there was still more, we panicked knowing we took too long, and rushed to get out within the time limit. (We had received a clue at one point without asking, but it was something I had already figured out, I just wasn't using it right.) We made it out with only a few minutes to spare. The girl there said more often than not, people don't solve it in time, so I feel pretty accomplished.
The funniest part was there was a group of 6 kids doing the Civilization room, and they got put in before us. Both rooms were an hour, but we were able to finish, and watch them bumble about for 10 minutes while the girl kept giving them clues on the radio. They have a laptop with a camera on the inside of the room, and headphones, so friends and family can watch (and laugh) from outside.
Please don't ruin the experience for yourself by bringing a cell phone in. And you can ask for hints if you want, but where's the fun in that? The girl there was super sweet, sorry I don't remember her name. And the ambiance of this place is really cool. It's hard to find, and I'm good with directions; we passed it twice since it was dark out!!! Don't be worried if the front door's locked, I think it's their way of providing safety since she's busy with the rooms and not able to watch the front.
