| - FOR 3/27/17 Since my review suddenly wasn't appearing anymore on this page!
I have been to this location twice: the first being on my 19th birthday back in 2015 with friends and the second just yesterday with my companion. Let's just say my second visit to this place was not so friendly at all... Beyond the second paragraph is a rant I need to get off my chest, so my apologies in advance.
As far as the selection goes for sex toys, lubricants, garments, and other kinky items this location has a pretty vast selection. If you're looking for specific toys that are silicone and plastic blend, full silicone, jellies, glass, rubber or whatever this store will probably have something right up your alley. The first floor will carry most of those items alongside the equipment, sex doll parts, magazines, lubricants, and other toys while the upstairs has the small viewing theatre, gag gifts, garments, and miscellaneous items.
Now my primary issue with this store today is the customer service. My first time was a very pleasant experience with how casually and friendly the employee treated us as she answered our questions and offered her opinion based off hers or other's experience without any judgement; The second time, however, really irked me because of the way my friend and I were treated upon walking INTO the store. Before I go on, yes, I understand that being 21 years-old with a baby-ish face I'll pretty much be ID'd right off the bat, but to be rudely stopped, mocked, and questioned before I can even pull out my identification is plain ridiculous and unprofessional.
Two years ago my friends and I were greeted and promptly asked to show ID upon coming in, and that was totally fine; however..
Yesterday, we quickly walked in to shield ourselves from the rain, only to be shouted at to HALT by two employees behind the counter; one of them even running around the side to block our way. The employee behind the desk immediately says "Woa! What do you two think you're doing?! Don't expect to be dressed like THAT: all shiny and like a 14 year-old and NOT show us your IDs!" while the employee blocking us rambles away on my attire and says that by the "speed" of our walk-in, we are "CLEARLY being suspicious". And what really put the icing on the cake was that following our Identification check, the employee behind the counter begins to question the one who carded us if they had "correctly done their math 100%." to which the employee ACTUALLY stumbled and thought it over, eventually recalling that they themselves were "23 and born in 1994." (Before allowing my friend and I proceed to the store). Are you kidding me? You JUST have to be 18 to enter this establishment! On my ID it clearly states that I'm "Under 18 until so-andso-2013" 2013 you guys!!! FOUR YEARS AGO! Of What part of seeing THAT date, being four years ago, is so hard to understand?! I was born in '95 for goodness sakes! Shouldn't that have been enough alone?... Aside from that mess, neither my friend and I OR the other customers in the store were being helped or asked if we needed any assistance at all throughout our 30 minute browse. And while someone was trying to look for help, three employees were standing behind their counter chatting away and only bringing their attention when someone wanted to be rung up. (To be fair, a manager appeared from behind the curtains of the counter and helped that customer out)
While it was nice of them to test my friend's toy with batteries to ensure it was working (While older reviews state you get the batteries for free, they no longer do this but instead charge if you want them) and for them to show me my Glass Sensations toy for any scuff marks/imperfections, it still doesn't excuse the behavior that occurred before our purchase.
